| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Small businesses play a vital role in the economy of |

| 6 | 6 | | the Lone Star State by providing employment for Texans, and with the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | assistance of the Small Business Development Center at The |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | University of Texas at San Antonio, John Boudreau of San Antonio has |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | started a company and created three new jobs; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, The SBDC helps small businesses grow and prosper in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the San Antonio area by providing a variety of services to business |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | owners, including training, counseling, and referrals; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A&T Assets was conceived by John Boudreau as a real |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | estate development and construction company; working with SBDC |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | business advisor Richard Sifuentes, Mr. Boudreau developed a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | business plan, obtained several small business certifications, and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | considered various methods of funding the business; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Following this period of careful planning, Mr. |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Boudreau began his new business in September of 2007; three new jobs |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | were created, and the company is working on several construction, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | remodeling, and restoration projects for both commercial and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | residential properties; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, The hard work, dedication, and thoughtful |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | preparation of Texas entrepreneurs all contribute greatly to the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | prosperity of the state, and Mr. Boudreau is building a foundation |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | of success for himself and his community; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate John Boudreau on the establishment |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of A&T Assets and extend to him sincere best wishes for success in |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | his exciting venture; and, be it further |
|---|
