H.R. No. 1472
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Keaton Gibson Richter of Boy Scouts of America Troop
No. 104 in Galveston has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
criteria, Mr. Richter earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his
community, which consisted of organizing and producing the
inaugural Lights of Love festival at the Ronald McDonald House in
Galveston; and
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
leadership ability throughout his scouting career, serving in such
positions as senior patrol leader and junior assistant scoutmaster,
winning the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked
toward the highest rank that scouting offers; he is also a member of
the Order of the Arrow; and
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Richter's dedication to excellence and
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Keaton Gibson Richter on achieving
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Richter as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
