| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Juan and Beatriz Herrera of Levelland |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Herrera were united in matrimony in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on that special day in 1969; through |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | made even richer with the addition of two sons, Juan and Gabriel, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | three daughters, Yolanda, Esmeralda, and Veronica, and seven |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | grandchildren, Crystal, Alli, J. R., Samantha, Emily, Megan, and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Noah; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Levelland for 27 years, Mr. Herrera |

| 16 | 16 | | works for Sherry Clements farm and Mrs. Herrera is a homemaker; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |

| 18 | 18 | | four decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | has enabled them to meet life's challenges with grace and optimism; |

| 21 | 21 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Juan and Beatriz Herrera on the |

| 24 | 24 | | occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
