H.R. No. 1477
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Juan and Beatriz Herrera of Levelland
celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Herrera were united in matrimony in
Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, on that special day in 1969; through
the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been
made even richer with the addition of two sons, Juan and Gabriel,
three daughters, Yolanda, Esmeralda, and Veronica, and seven
grandchildren, Crystal, Alli, J. R., Samantha, Emily, Megan, and
Noah; and
WHEREAS, Residents of Levelland for 27 years, Mr. Herrera
works for Sherry Clements farm and Mrs. Herrera is a homemaker; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
four decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
has enabled them to meet life's challenges with grace and optimism;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Juan and Beatriz Herrera on the
occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Herrera as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
