5	5	WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
6	6	meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends
7	7	of Margaret Gilder Nesbitt of Waco, who passed away on March 5,
8	8	2009, at the age of 91; and
9	9	WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Margaret Nesbitt
10	10	was born in Gatesville on October 17, 1917; she graduated from
11	11	Gatesville High School and attended Baylor University, where she
12	12	was a member of the Athenian Club and secretary of her class; in
13	13	1936, she married William Nesbitt, with whom she shared more than
14	14	three decades and raised three children, Nancy, Mary Margaret, and
15	15	Bill; and
16	16	WHEREAS, Mrs. Nesbitt served as secretary to the principal of
17	17	Gatesville Elementary School and later became director of South
18	18	Russell Hall at Baylor University; active in the Gatesville
19	19	community, she attended First Baptist Church, where she taught the
20	20	Bykota Sunday School class; after moving to Waco in 1994, she joined
21	21	Columbus Avenue Baptist Church and further shared her time with
22	22	P.E.O. Daughters of the American Revolution, Baylor Adult Senior
23	23	Choir, Friday Forum, Baylor Alumni Association, and Baylor Heritage
24	24	Club; and
25	25	WHEREAS, Although Margaret Gilder Nesbitt is deeply missed,
26	26	she will forever be remembered with great admiration and affection
27	27	by all those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it
28	28	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
29	29	Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Margaret Gilder
30	30	Nesbitt and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
31	31	her daughters, Nancy Tindall and her husband, Steve, and Mary
32	32	Margaret Hunt and her husband, Don; to her son, Bill Nesbitt, and
33	33	his wife, Dwana; to her grandchildren, Ann Vawter and her husband,
34	34	Mike, Janet Porter and her husband, Joel, Melanie Eddolls and her
35	35	husband, Tony, Jon Hunt and his wife, Nicole, Allison Hillard and
36	36	her husband, Joe, Bill Nesbitt and his wife, Sunita, Tom Nesbitt and
37	37	his wife, Nancy, Joe Nesbitt and his wife, Amanda, Kristen Nesbitt,
38	38	Brady Nesbitt, and Brett Jackson; to her 15 great-grandchildren;
39	39	and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
40	40	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
41	41	prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
42	42	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Margaret
43	43	Gilder Nesbitt.
