| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Debra Bishop was named the Hazel Harvey Peace |

| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, The principal of A. J. Moore Academy, Dr. Bishop |

| 8 | 8 | | helps to prepare students to excel academically, intellectually, |

| 9 | 9 | | and socially in postsecondary education and in engineering, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | business, entrepreneurship, or technology careers; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, This notable Texan has demonstrated a tremendous |

| 12 | 12 | | dedication to the welfare of her students and all the youth of her |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | community, and she is indeed deserving of our respect and |

| 14 | 14 | | gratitude; now, therefore, be it |

| 15 | 15 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 16 | 16 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Debra Bishop on being named the |

| 17 | 17 | | 2008 Hazel Harvey Peace Educator of the Year and extend to her best |
