R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. Debra Bishop was named the Hazel Harvey Peace
Educator of the Year in 2008; and
WHEREAS, The principal of A. J. Moore Academy, Dr. Bishop
helps to prepare students to excel academically, intellectually,
and socially in postsecondary education and in engineering,
business, entrepreneurship, or technology careers; and
WHEREAS, This notable Texan has demonstrated a tremendous
dedication to the welfare of her students and all the youth of her
community, and she is indeed deserving of our respect and
gratitude; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Debra Bishop on being named the
2008 Hazel Harvey Peace Educator of the Year and extend to her best
wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Bishop as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
