H.R. No. 1683 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned half a century, Lewis and Mary Propst of Hewitt celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 15, 2007; and WHEREAS, Lewis Propst and the former Mary Montanaro exchanged the vows of matrimony in Waco on that special day in 1957, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life partner; Mr. Propst retired from the U.S. Navy Seabees and Owens-Illinois glass plant; Mrs. Propst worked for 21 years with Dr. Charles Gamble; and WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Propst count among their blessings a fine family that includes their children, Michael Propst and his wife, Linda, Laurie McCoy and her husband, J. D., and Kelley Arthur, as well as five granddaughters, Amanda, Morgan, Ana, Kendall, and Erika, with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and WHEREAS, Lewis and Mary Propst have brought laughter, kindness, and devotion to their marriage, and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Lewis and Mary Propst on the noteworthy milestone of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Propst as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
