55 WHEREAS, Grace Stafford is celebrating a significant
66 milestone in her life in May 2009, when she graduates from
77 Southwestern University with a bachelor's degree in sociology; and
88 WHEREAS, Born on May 21, 1987, in Columbus, Georgia, Ms.
99 Stafford graduated from W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi in
1010 2005; in addition to her college studies, she has also
1111 distinguished herself as a legislative intern in the office of
1212 State Representative Diana Maldonado; in that capacity, she
1313 demonstrated her ability to work effectively and efficiently in a
1414 demanding office environment; respected by her employer and
1515 colleagues, she was entrusted with many diverse responsibilities
1616 and became a valued member of the staff; and
1717 WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Dr. Wesley Stafford
1818 and Dr. Jane Stafford, Grace Stafford is an outstanding young Texan
1919 whose intelligence, commitment, and diligence will surely continue
2020 to serve her well throughout the coming years, and it is a pleasure
2121 to recognize her as she prepares to embark on an exciting new
2222 chapter in her life; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2424 Legislature hereby congratulate Grace Stafford on her graduation
2525 from Southwestern University, commend her for her service in the
2626 office of State Representative Diana Maldonado, and extend to her
2727 sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
2828 further
2929 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3030 prepared for Ms. Stafford as an expression of high regard by the
3131 Texas House of Representatives.
