 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Grace Stafford is celebrating a significant
 milestone in her life in May 2009, when she graduates from
 Southwestern University with a bachelor's degree in sociology; and
 WHEREAS, Born on May 21, 1987, in Columbus, Georgia, Ms.
 Stafford graduated from W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi in
 2005; in addition to her college studies, she has also
 distinguished herself as a legislative intern in the office of
 State Representative Diana Maldonado; in that capacity, she
 demonstrated her ability to work effectively and efficiently in a
 demanding office environment; respected by her employer and
 colleagues, she was entrusted with many diverse responsibilities
 and became a valued member of the staff; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Dr. Wesley Stafford
 and Dr. Jane Stafford, Grace Stafford is an outstanding young Texan
 whose intelligence, commitment, and diligence will surely continue
 to serve her well throughout the coming years, and it is a pleasure
 to recognize her as she prepares to embark on an exciting new
 chapter in her life; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Grace Stafford on her graduation
 from Southwestern University, commend her for her service in the
 office of State Representative Diana Maldonado, and extend to her
 sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Stafford as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
