| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Sidney and Betty Henson of Waco |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | reached a significant milestone when they celebrated their 60th |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | wedding anniversary on May 1, 2008; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Henson and the former Betty Nell Marlow were |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | united in matrimony in Fort Worth in 1948; through the years, they |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | with the addition of their daughter, Linda Kay Friedholm, and her |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | husband, David, and their granddaughter, Amber Leigh Malcolm, and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | her husband, Todd; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Henson worked for Swift Meat Company for 40 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | years and retired in 1989; Mrs. Henson retired from ARA Food Service |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | at Baylor University in 1994; residents of Waco for 52 years, they |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | attend Primrose Drive Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Sidney and Betty Henson on their |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 60th wedding anniversary in 2008 and extend to them sincere best |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 29 | 29 | | prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Henson as an expression of high regard by |
