H.R. No. 1800 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, September 26, 2007, marked the 60th wedding anniversary of Jack A. and Frances Warren Chandler of Crawford, and this was indeed a joyous milestone in their memorable journey together as husband and wife; and WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Chandler were joined in matrimony on that special day in 1947 at a ceremony held at Harris Creek Baptist Church; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes their children, Janice Kirkland and her husband, Alan, and Archie Chandler, and their six grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Brooke, Jarod, Jessica and her husband, Jason, Justin, Jacob, and Jill; and WHEREAS, Mr. Chandler is retired from Southwestern Bell and Mrs. Chandler is retired from Smead Manufacturing, and both have long been involved in running their farm and ranch; in addition to meeting their work and family responsibilities, they are valued members of Shiloh Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, The more than 60 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Chandler have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Jack and Frances Chandler on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Chandler as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
