| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Bullard High School senior Danielle Heithoff has |

| 6 | 6 | | been named Player of the Year on the Tyler Morning Telegraph 2009 |

| 7 | 7 | | All-East Texas Girls Basketball Team; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Minnesota, Ms. Heithoff played for her high |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | school team in the city of Rochester before moving to Texas with her |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | family in 2008; she soon gained recognition as a valuable member of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the Bullard Lady Panthers, being awarded district most valuable |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | player and All-East Texas Newcomer of the Year honors in her junior |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | year; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, During the 2008-2009 season, she continued to build |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | her reputation as an elite power forward and dominant all-around |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | player; under the able guidance of head coach Greg Gay, she helped |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | lead Bullard to a 30-4 record while averaging nearly 20 points a |

| 18 | 18 | | game; she will continue her basketball career in the fall, when |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | becomes a member of the team at Lamar University; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Winning the All-East Texas Player of the Year honor |

| 21 | 21 | | is a noteworthy achievement and a fitting end to Danielle |

| 22 | 22 | | Heithoff's celebrated tenure in Texas high school basketball, and |

| 23 | 23 | | she may indeed reflect with pride on her outstanding athletic |

| 24 | 24 | | performance with the Lady Panthers; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Danielle Heithoff on being named |
