| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Billy and Mary Lou Peterson of |

| 7 | 7 | | Robinson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 12, |

| 8 | 8 | | 2008; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Billy Peterson and the former Mary Lou Pursley were |

| 10 | 10 | | united in matrimony in Waco in 1948; through the years, they have |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the addition of five children, Gene, Linda, Donna, Julie, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | James, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and |

| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |

| 15 | 15 | | decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |

| 18 | 18 | | and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Billy and Mary Lou Peterson on |

| 21 | 21 | | their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |

| 22 | 22 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
