R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Billy and Mary Lou Peterson of
Robinson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 12,
2008; and
WHEREAS, Billy Peterson and the former Mary Lou Pursley were
united in matrimony in Waco in 1948; through the years, they have
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with
the addition of five children, Gene, Linda, Donna, Julie, and
James, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace
and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Billy and Mary Lou Peterson on
their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peterson as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
