44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
66 by a great and enduring love, William and Sondra Harper of
77 Bruceville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6,
88 2008; and
99 WHEREAS, William Ray Harper and the former Sondra Raborn were
1010 united in matrimony at Morrow Avenue Assembly of God in Waco in
1111 1958; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage
1212 that has been made even richer with the addition of their children,
1313 Craig Harper and his wife, Paula, and Robin Daniel and her husband,
1414 Kevin, and two grandchildren, Stephen and Jennifer; and
1515 WHEREAS, Mr. Harper retired as director of information and
1616 communication services for the Texas Farm Bureau, and Mrs. Harper
1717 is a homemaker; she taught Sunday school for 35 years and was a
1818 member of the church choir; and
1919 WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
2020 half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
2121 in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
2222 has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
2323 grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2525 Legislature hereby congratulate William and Sondra Harper on their
2626 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
2727 continued happiness; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Harper as an expression of high regard by
3030 the Texas House of Representatives.
