| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, William and Sondra Harper of |

| 7 | 7 | | Bruceville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 2008; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, William Ray Harper and the former Sondra Raborn were |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | united in matrimony at Morrow Avenue Assembly of God in Waco in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1958; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | that has been made even richer with the addition of their children, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Craig Harper and his wife, Paula, and Robin Daniel and her husband, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Kevin, and two grandchildren, Stephen and Jennifer; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Harper retired as director of information and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | communication services for the Texas Farm Bureau, and Mrs. Harper |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | is a homemaker; she taught Sunday school for 35 years and was a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | member of the church choir; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate William and Sondra Harper on their |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |

| 27 | 27 | | continued happiness; and, be it further |
