H.R. No. 1881 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced by a great and enduring love, William and Sondra Harper of Bruceville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2008; and WHEREAS, William Ray Harper and the former Sondra Raborn were united in matrimony at Morrow Avenue Assembly of God in Waco in 1958; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of their children, Craig Harper and his wife, Paula, and Robin Daniel and her husband, Kevin, and two grandchildren, Stephen and Jennifer; and WHEREAS, Mr. Harper retired as director of information and communication services for the Texas Farm Bureau, and Mrs. Harper is a homemaker; she taught Sunday school for 35 years and was a member of the church choir; and WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby congratulate William and Sondra Harper on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Harper as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
