H.R. No. 1882
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jimmie Joe and Gloria Helleson of Waco celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on December 6, 2008, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, Jimmie Joe Helleson and the former Gloria Prause
exchanged the vows of matrimony at First Baptist Church of China
Spring in 1958, and over the course of their marriage, they have
found in each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Helleson count among their blessings a
fine family that includes two children, Dewayne Helleson and his
wife, Kelley, and Jana Cotton and her husband, the Reverend Wayne
Cotton, as well as five grandchildren, with whom they share the many
special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Jimmie Joe and Gloria Helleson
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion,
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jimmie Joe and Gloria Helleson on
their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Helleson as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
