R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharron Zachry has earned a National PTA Life
Achievement Award from the Midway Parent Teacher Association; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1899, the National Life Achievement
Award is the highest accolade presented by the PTA; honorees are
recognized for rendering outstanding service to youth; and
WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Ms. Zachry has
distinguished herself throughout her exceptional career in
education; she has served as principal of Midway High School for
many years and will soon lead a new elementary school opening in
fall 2009; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Zachry has demonstrated tremendous dedication
to the welfare of her students and all the youth of her community,
and she is indeed deserving of our respect and gratitude; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Sharron Zachry on her receipt of a
National PTA Life Achievement Award and extend to her sincere best
wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Zachry as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
