|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Members of the order have included such luminaries |

| 9 | 9 | | as writer John Steinbeck, actor John Wayne, news anchor Walter |

| 10 | 10 | | Cronkite, and astronaut Frank Borman; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, An affiliate, the Texas DeMolay Association, |

| 12 | 12 | | periodically sponsors a legislative seminar to educate its members |

| 13 | 13 | | in the theory and practice of state government; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This rewarding educational program offers |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | participants across the state a unique opportunity to learn about |

| 16 | 16 | | the legislative process; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is a notable |

| 18 | 18 | | organization that is helping to advance the knowledge of many |

| 19 | 19 | | through its informative legislative seminar; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature, in accordance with the rules and policies of the |

| 22 | 22 | | Committee on House Administration, hereby grant permission to the |

| 23 | 23 | | Texas DeMolay Association to use the house chamber on February 20 |
