H.R. No. 2072
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Marge and Jesse Blair of El Paso celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary on April 30, 2009, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Blair exchanged the vows of matrimony
in Camden, New Jersey, in 1949, and over the course of their
marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, This devoted couple count among their blessings a
fine family that includes 7 children, Mark, Eileen, Paul, Stephen,
Linda, Joan, and David, as well as 17 grandchildren and 6
great-grandchildren, with whom they share the many special
occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For six decades, Marge and Jesse Blair have brought
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Marge and Jesse Blair on their 60th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Blair as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
