| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | recognize Lacy Baron of El Paso for her outstanding work as a |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Quintanilla; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Baron has had an |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and she has |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | task; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Larry and Melinda Baron, Ms. Baron |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | is a graduate of El Paso High School, where she was involved in the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | DECA Club, marching band, student council, and National Honor |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Society; in addition, she has actively served her community as a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | volunteer at the Children's Hospital at Providence Memorial |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Hospital, the Build a Park Foundation, and various nursing homes; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | this fine young Texan is currently pursuing a degree in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | communication at The University of Texas at Austin, and she is a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | participant in the Longhorn Scholars program; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Ms. Baron |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | has made invaluable contributions to the State of Texas during the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | current session, and she may indeed look forward to a rewarding |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | future; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Lacy Baron for her service as a |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente |

| 30 | 30 | | Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
