H.R. No. 2200 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to recognize Lacy Baron of El Paso for her outstanding work as a legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente Quintanilla; and WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Baron has had an opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and she has brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every task; and WHEREAS, The daughter of Larry and Melinda Baron, Ms. Baron is a graduate of El Paso High School, where she was involved in the DECA Club, marching band, student council, and National Honor Society; in addition, she has actively served her community as a volunteer at the Children's Hospital at Providence Memorial Hospital, the Build a Park Foundation, and various nursing homes; this fine young Texan is currently pursuing a degree in communication at The University of Texas at Austin, and she is a participant in the Longhorn Scholars program; and WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Ms. Baron has made invaluable contributions to the State of Texas during the current session, and she may indeed look forward to a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby commend Lacy Baron for her service as a legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Baron as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
