| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | recognize Olivia Provencio-Johnson of Weslaco for her outstanding |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | work as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Representative Chente Quintanilla; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Provencio-Johnson has |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | had an opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and she has |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | task; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Provencio-Johnson is a graduate of El Paso High |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | School, where she was in the National Honor Society, the student |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | council, and the marching and concert bands; she was also active in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | cross-country and track, as well as theater, and she played Dorothy |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | in The Wizard of Oz; this fine young Texan is currently studying |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | English and art at The University of Texas at Austin, and she is a |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | participant in the Longhorn Scholars program and in Texas Cycling; |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Ms. |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Provencio-Johnson has made invaluable contributions to the State of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Texas during the current session, and she may indeed look forward to |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Olivia Provencio-Johnson for her |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | service as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Representative Chente Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best |

| 30 | 30 | | wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
