 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
 recognize Olivia Provencio-Johnson of Weslaco for her outstanding
 work as a legislative assistant in the office of State
 Representative Chente Quintanilla; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Provencio-Johnson has
 had an opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and
 the issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and she has
 brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every
 task; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Provencio-Johnson is a graduate of El Paso High
 School, where she was in the National Honor Society, the student
 council, and the marching and concert bands; she was also active in
 cross-country and track, as well as theater, and she played Dorothy
 in The Wizard of Oz; this fine young Texan is currently studying
 English and art at The University of Texas at Austin, and she is a
 participant in the Longhorn Scholars program and in Texas Cycling;
 and
 WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Ms.
 Provencio-Johnson has made invaluable contributions to the State of
 Texas during the current session, and she may indeed look forward to
 a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Olivia Provencio-Johnson for her
 service as a legislative assistant in the office of State
 Representative Chente Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best
 wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Provencio-Johnson as an expression of high regard
 by the Texas House of Representatives.
