| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Kristina Maria Garza has rendered invaluable |

| 6 | 6 | | service to the office of Representative David McQuade Leibowitz, |

| 7 | 7 | | and her 30th birthday on June 12, 2009, provides a fitting |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | opportunity to recognize her outstanding efforts; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of Northwestern University, Ms. Garza |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | earned her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and has |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | since built a notable resume through her work as an adjunct |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | professor at The University of Texas at Brownsville, law clerk to |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Judge Felix Recio, and corporate associate with Kaye Scholer, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | L.L.P.; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Garza also gained valuable experience as field |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | manager for Grassroots Campaigns, Inc., and the Karen Huber |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | campaign; she currently serves as legislative director for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Representative Leibowitz, and her dedicated efforts have been |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | beneficial to ensuring the best interests of many Texas citizens; |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | in all of her endeavors, she has received the support of a loving |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | family, including her parents, Joe and Nikki Garza and her brother, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Joey Garza; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, By sharing her expertise on issues and contributing |

| 24 | 24 | | countless hours of hard work, Kristina Garza has helped to ensure |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | that the constituents of House District 117 and the citizens of the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Lone Star State are well served; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
