 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the heartache felt
 at the loss of U.S. Army Reserve Corporal Dustin Ryan Brisky of
 Round Rock, who died on June 14, 2007, at the age of 26; and
 WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Corporal Brisky was
 born in Austin on June 8, 1981; he graduated from McNeil High School
 in 1999 and began his military tenure five years later; and
 WHEREAS, In October 2006, this courageous young Texan
 volunteered to go to Iraq so that he could serve beside his fellow
 soldiers; he was mortally wounded while serving in Tallil, Iraq;
 and
 WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt to our nation's
 servicemen and servicewomen, whose love for their country inspires
 them to take up military service, and their dedicated efforts and
 enormous sacrifices are deserving of their fellow citizens' deepest
 respect and gratitude; and
 WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest ideals of the U.S. armed
 forces, Dustin Brisky inspired others with his fortitude, tenacity,
 and courage; although his death has left a void in the lives of his
 loved ones, they carry their memories of him close in their hearts;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Corporal Dustin Ryan
 Brisky and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to
 his mother and stepfather, Karen and Bob Baker; to his father, Bob
 Brisky; to his brother, Nicholas Baker; and to his other relatives
 and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army
 Reserve Corporal Dustin Ryan Brisky.
