R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ella Rachel Drai of Houston is being baptized at
Holy Spirit Catholic Church in San Antonio on May 24, 2009, and this
occasion is indeed worthy of special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This beautiful baby girl was born to Jennifer
Evangelina Caballero and Jean Michele Drai at Memorial Hermann
Northwest Hospital in Houston on December 12, 2008; she weighed 8
pounds, 12 ounces, at birth and measured 20 inches long; and
WHEREAS, The arrival of Ella Rachel has brought great joy to
her parents, her grandparents, Sandra Howell Caballero and Claude
and Claudi Drai, her godparents, Sandra Elsa Caballero de Balido
and Sir Nelson H. Balido, Knight of Malta, and the other members and
many friends of her family; Ella Rachel is also the granddaughter of
the late Arquimedes Caballero; and
WHEREAS, Performing the rite of baptism for Ella Rachel is
the pastor of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Father Carlos Velazquez;
and
WHEREAS, A baptism is a joyous event and the first step in a
lifelong journey as a member of the Catholic Church, and it is a
pleasure to acknowledge this special day in the life of the Drai
family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the baptism of Ella Rachel Drai and
extend to Jennifer and Jean Michele Drai heartfelt congratulations
on the birth of their beloved daughter; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Drai as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
