H.R. No. 2450
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kenneth and Nelda Weldon of Waco celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on May 31, 2007, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Ken Weldon and the former Nelda Roberts exchanged
the vows of matrimony at the First Baptist Church of Friendswood in
1957, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in one
another a loving life partner; Mr. Weldon is retired from AT&T and
Mrs. Weldon from Midway ISD; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Weldon count among their blessings a
fine family that includes three children, Wyndell Weldon and his
wife, Yonie, Jan Roberts and her husband, Tim, and Brent Weldon and
his wife, Lena, and six grandchildren, Hannah Beth, Chloe, Ginger,
Graham, Gideon, and Grace, with whom they share the many special
occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Kenneth and Nelda Weldon have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kenneth and Nelda Weldon on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Weldon as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
