R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned half a
century, Francisco and Velia Morga of El Paso celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on April 19, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Francisco J. Morga and the former Velia Quinonez
exchanged the vows of matrimony on that day in 1959, and over the
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted
life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Morga count among their blessings a
fine family that includes four children and six grandchildren, with
whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Francisco
and Velia Morga can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Francisco and Velia Morga on the
occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Morga as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
