| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Beverly and Norvan Bourland |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on May 15, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bourland were united in matrimony in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Nocona in 1943; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of two |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | children, Scott and Page, as well as a grandson, Scott, a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | granddaughter, Jennifer, and three great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Midland since 1966, Mr. Bourland |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | retired from Mobil Oil Corporation in 1984, and Mrs. Bourland is a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | homemaker; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | world during the past 66 years, this devoted husband and wife have |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Beverly and Norvan Bourland on |

| 23 | 23 | | their 66th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |

| 24 | 24 | | wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
