 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The family and friends of U.S. Army Sergeant William
 Wayne Crow suffered an immeasurable loss with the death of this
 valiant soldier on June 28, 2007, at the age of 28; and
 WHEREAS, Assigned to Alpha Company "Outlaws," 2nd Battalion,
 16th Infantry Regiment, Sergeant Crow served as a Fire-Team Leader
 with the 2nd Platoon; he lost his life while bravely serving his
 country on his third tour of duty in Iraq; a squad leader and
 infantryman, he had previously served in Korea; and
 WHEREAS, Highly decorated throughout his career, Sergeant
 Crow was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal with
 Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Army
 Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, to name but a few; and
 WHEREAS, William Crow was devoted to his wife, Michelle, a
 graduate of Abilene High School, and their children, Christopher,
 David, Alexis, and Kayla, and when he was home on leave, he enjoyed
 swimming, watching movies, and playing video games with his family;
 and
 WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt to our nation's
 servicemen and servicewomen, whose courageous efforts and enormous
 sacrifices are deserving of the deepest respect and gratitude;
 through his unwavering dedication to duty and honor, Sergeant Crow
 embodied the highest ideals of the United States armed forces, and
 those who knew this brave and compassionate soldier will forever
 hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Sergeant
 William Wayne Crow and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his
 family: to his wife, Katherine Michelle Crow; to his children,
 Christopher, David, Alexis, and Kayla Crow; to his mother, Kathryn
 Mondini; to his sister, Candace Crow Hudson; to his mother-in-law
 and father-in-law, Kathy and David Hicks; and to his other
 relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of William
 Wayne Crow.
