| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends mourn the tragic loss of U.S. |

| 6 | 6 | | Marine Corps Lance Corporal Bobby Lee Twitty, who died serving his |

| 7 | 7 | | nation in Iraq on July 22, 2007, at the age of 20; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Lance Corporal Twitty was killed in an accident |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | while serving in Ramadi, Iraq; he joined the Marines in December |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 2005, training as a heavy equipment operator; in June 2006, he |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | joined his unit, Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Force out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Born in Conroe on September 27, 1986, to James and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Tammy Twitty, Bobby Twitty lived much of his life in Bedias and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | graduated from Madisonville High School in 2005; he was a member of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the Bedias Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, This adventurous and energetic young man loved the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | outdoors, especially hunting with his father and uncle, and he |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | enjoyed bowling and shooting pool with his friends; he was also |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | known for his big heart and his infectious smile; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Through his unfaltering devotion to duty, honor, and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | this country, Bobby Twitty embodied the highest ideals of the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | United States armed forces, and his fellow citizens owe him a debt |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of gratitude that the passage of time can never diminish; now, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lance Corporal Bobby |

| 29 | 29 | | Lee Twitty and extend sincere condolences to the members of his |

| 30 | 30 | | family: to his parents, James and Tammy Twitty; to his brothers and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | sisters, James, Patrick, David, Patricia, and Lauren Twitty; to his |
