5	5	WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the heartache felt
6	6	at the loss of U.S. Army Private First Class Andrew Travis Engstrom
7	7	of Slaton, who died on July 4, 2007, at the age of 22; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Assigned to the 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery
9	9	Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort
10	10	Hood, Private Engstrom lost his life in Taji, Iraq; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Our state and nation are fortunate to have men and
12	12	women whose love for their country inspires them to take up military
13	13	service, yet the tragic death of this brave young man is a sobering
14	14	reminder of the cost of war; and
15	15	WHEREAS, Time does not erase the profound debt that Americans
16	16	owe to our nation's servicemen and servicewomen for their
17	17	courageous efforts and enormous sacrifices; the death of Andrew
18	18	Engstrom has left a void in the lives of his loved ones, but they
19	19	will forever carry his memory close in their hearts; now,
20	20	therefore, be it
21	21	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
22	22	Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Private First Class
23	23	Andrew Engstrom and extend sincere condolences to all those who
24	24	mourn his passing; and, be it further
25	25	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
26	26	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
27	27	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army
28	28	Private First Class Andrew Travis Engstrom.
