| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Members of Henderson County Republican Women are |

| 6 | 6 | | gathering in Austin to meet with state legislators and further the |

| 7 | 7 | | aim of their organization to promote conservative politics at every |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | level of government; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established in August 1978, after a luncheon |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | attended by approximately 30 prospective members, Henderson County |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Republican Women met in private homes until a growing membership |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | necessitated meetings scheduled in larger venues throughout the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | county; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Since its inception three decades ago, Henderson |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | County Republican Women has significantly expanded its membership |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | base and diligently worked to elect Republican candidates to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | countywide offices, and its efforts demonstrate the democratic |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | process at its best; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature hereby welcome the delegation representing Henderson |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | County Republican Women to the State Capitol and that they be |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | extended sincere best wishes for a memorable and rewarding visit in |

| 23 | 23 | | Austin; and, be it further |
