H.R. No. 254
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Members of Henderson County Republican Women are
gathering in Austin to meet with state legislators and further the
aim of their organization to promote conservative politics at every
level of government; and
WHEREAS, Established in August 1978, after a luncheon
attended by approximately 30 prospective members, Henderson County
Republican Women met in private homes until a growing membership
necessitated meetings scheduled in larger venues throughout the
county; and
WHEREAS, Since its inception three decades ago, Henderson
County Republican Women has significantly expanded its membership
base and diligently worked to elect Republican candidates to
countywide offices, and its efforts demonstrate the democratic
process at its best; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby welcome the delegation representing Henderson
County Republican Women to the State Capitol and that they be
extended sincere best wishes for a memorable and rewarding visit in
Austin; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Henderson County Republican Women as an expression of
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
