5	5	WHEREAS, Beatrice Arnold was named Mrs. VFW on May 16, 2009,
6	6	for her outstanding service to the organization's Westphalia post;
7	7	and
8	8	WHEREAS, While this honor has previously only been presented
9	9	to couples, Mrs. Arnold's exceptional efforts in behalf of her
10	10	fellow members have made her a truly worthy recipient; she now
11	11	represents District 14, which is made up of 13 VFW posts and 11
12	12	Ladies Auxiliaries; and
13	13	WHEREAS, Mrs. Arnold has helped to meet the group's mission
14	14	to "honor the dead by helping the living" through her dedicated
15	15	volunteerism; she has worked to ensure that veterans and their
16	16	families receive the support and assistance that they have earned,
17	17	and in so doing she has earned the lasting esteem and affection of
18	18	her fellow VFW members; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
20	20	Legislature hereby congratulate Beatrice Arnold on earning the Mrs.
21	21	VFW award and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and,
22	22	be it further
23	23	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
24	24	prepared for Mrs. Arnold as an expression of high regard by the
25	25	Texas House of Representatives.
