R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Brianna Brackens of Fairfield is commemorating a
special milestone in her life on June 4, 2009, for on that day she
graduates from the Texas School for the Deaf; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her three years at TSD, Ms. Brackens has
remained dedicated to her course work, and she has developed her
talent in her two favorite sports as a member of the basketball and
track teams; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Brackens has developed a circle of devoted
friends with her outgoing, friendly personality; in the coming
months, she plans to attend Houston Community College to study
cosmetology; and
WHEREAS, Graduation marks the beginning of a new and exciting
chapter in Ms. Brackens' life, and it is indeed fitting that she be
recognized for her noteworthy achievements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Brianna Brackens on her graduation
from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to her sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Brackens as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
