 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The family and friends of U.S. Army Sergeant
 Chadrick Omar Domino of Ennis suffered an immeasurable loss with
 his death on May 31, 2007, at the age of 23; and
 WHEREAS, Assigned to the 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry
 Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade
 Combat Team), out of Fort Lewis, Washington, this brave soldier
 joined the army in 2002; he was serving his second tour of duty in
 Iraq when he was killed in combat during a patrol in Baghdad; he was
 promoted posthumously to sergeant; and
 WHEREAS, Sergeant Domino's awards and decorations include
 the Purple Heart, two Army Commendation Medals, a Meritorious Unit
 Commendation, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on
 Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service
 Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Combat Infantryman Badge, and
 the Combat Action Badge; and
 WHEREAS, Chad Domino was born in Longview on June 21, 1983, to
 Willis and Gloria Domino; he enjoyed comic books, music, dancing,
 and good food; he also loved to play football and was a student of
 karate; and
 WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest ideals of the U.S. armed
 forces, Chadrick Domino inspired others with his courage and
 fortitude, and although he is deeply missed, those who loved him
 will forever carry his memory close in their hearts; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Sergeant Chadrick
 Domino and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family:
 to his father, Willis Domino; to his mother, Gloria Fullylove
 Domino; to his sister, Ursula Domino; to his grandmother, Mary
 Brown; to his stepgrandmother, Maggie Taylor; to his grandfather,
 Alford Fullylove; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family, and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Chad
 Domino.
