| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Brant R. Bennett has provided indispensable support |

| 6 | 6 | | to the office of State Representative Terri Hodge as an intern |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | during the 81st Legislature; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Bennett, who is earning his bachelor's degree |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | from Baylor University in May 2009 with a major in political science |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and a minor in business administration, has managed his many |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | responsibilities in an exceptional manner and has demonstrated a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | notable commitment to excellence in each of his assigned tasks; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Winner of the 2004 state championship in the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | University Interscholastic League Lincoln-Douglas Debates, he has |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | a long-standing interest in politics and government, and he |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | attended the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | as part of his participation in the Congressional Student |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Leadership Conference; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Through his work in Representative Hodge's office, |

| 20 | 20 | | Mr. Bennett has had an opportunity to learn more about the issues |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | facing the citizens of the Lone Star State as he contributed to the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | legislative process and benefited the constituents of House |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | District 100, and it is most fitting to take this opportunity to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | recognize him for his achievements; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend Brant R. Bennett for his service as a |

| 27 | 27 | | legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri |

| 28 | 28 | | Hodge and extend to him best wishes for success in all his future |
