H.R. No. 2631 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Brant R. Bennett has provided indispensable support to the office of State Representative Terri Hodge as an intern during the 81st Legislature; and WHEREAS, Mr. Bennett, who is earning his bachelor's degree from Baylor University in May 2009 with a major in political science and a minor in business administration, has managed his many responsibilities in an exceptional manner and has demonstrated a notable commitment to excellence in each of his assigned tasks; and WHEREAS, Winner of the 2004 state championship in the University Interscholastic League Lincoln-Douglas Debates, he has a long-standing interest in politics and government, and he attended the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City as part of his participation in the Congressional Student Leadership Conference; and WHEREAS, Through his work in Representative Hodge's office, Mr. Bennett has had an opportunity to learn more about the issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State as he contributed to the legislative process and benefited the constituents of House District 100, and it is most fitting to take this opportunity to recognize him for his achievements; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby commend Brant R. Bennett for his service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Hodge and extend to him best wishes for success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Bennett as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
