| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Travis Whetsell has provided indispensable support |

| 6 | 6 | | to the office of State Representative Terri Hodge as an intern |

| 7 | 7 | | during the 81st Legislature; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A 2006 graduate of Texas State University, he is |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | continuing his education with plans to obtain his master's degree |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in public administration; he has been a correspondent for the Texas |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Legislative Service and a canvasser for TexPIRG, as well as a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | substitute teacher; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Through his work in Representative Hodge's office, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Mr. Whetsell has had an opportunity to learn more about issues of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | concern to citizens of the Lone Star State as he contributed to the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | legislative process and benefitted the constituents of House |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | District 100, and it is a pleasure to recognize him for his |

| 18 | 18 | | achievements; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature hereby commend Travis Whetsell for his service as a |

| 21 | 21 | | legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri |

| 22 | 22 | | Hodge and extend to him best wishes for success in all his future |
