5	5	WHEREAS, Elena G. Juarez of Noonan Elementary School has been
6	6	named the 2009 Elementary Teacher of the Year for the Alice
7	7	Independent School District; and
8	8	WHEREAS, A veteran educator with nearly 30 years of
9	9	experience at the elementary level, Ms. Juarez teaches fourth grade
10	10	at Noonan; she engages her students by working beyond the textbook,
11	11	by discovering ways to increase their individual investment in the
12	12	learning process, and by acknowledging them as important and
13	13	valued; and
14	14	WHEREAS, The emphasis that Elena Juarez places on
15	15	encouragement and on the personal aspect of instruction helps her
16	16	to connect with students in profound and meaningful ways, and this
17	17	prestigious award duly recognizes her exceptional skill as an
18	18	educator; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
20	20	Legislature hereby congratulate Elena G. Juarez on being named
21	21	Elementary Teacher of the Year for the Alice Independent School
22	22	District and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
23	23	success; and, be it further
24	24	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
25	25	prepared for Ms. Juarez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
26	26	House of Representatives.
