 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Cynthia Carter of Waxahachie has been honored as a
 Fort Worth Business Press HealthCare Hero for her outstanding
 quality of service and demonstrated commitment to the well-being of
 her fellow citizens; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Carter has taught more than 1,000 nurses during
 her 34 years as a clinical instructor; in her current position as
 director of education at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, she is
 responsible for training all nurses, coordinating nursing
 orientation, and establishing and directing student affiliation
 clinical rotation programs with The University of Texas at
 Arlington, Tarrant County College, and Navarro College in Ellis
 County; and
 WHEREAS, Committed to community outreach, she visits local
 schools to inform children about the nursing profession and about
 hand hygiene; moreover, she has initiated mentoring programs with
 the Mansfield Independent School District and the Ben Barber Career
 and Technology Academy health science technology program, which
 allows students to observe nurses and physicians at Mansfield
 Methodist; and
 WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Mrs. Carter has been
 blessed with the support of a loving family, including her husband,
 Jerry, who serves as chaplain for Baylor Medical Center at
 Waxahachie, her son, Chris, a critical care nurse for John Peter
 Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, and her daughter, Laura, a nuclear
 medicine technician at the Methodist Dallas Medical Center; and
 WHEREAS, A skilled and caring medical professional, Cynthia
 Carter has demonstrated exceptional dedication to her field, and it
 is indeed a pleasure to recognize her many outstanding
 accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia Carter on being named a
 Fort Worth Business Press HealthCare Hero and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for continued success with her important work; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mrs. Carter as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
