44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Lois Hughey Wynne Erisman, the treasured matriarch
66 of a loving family, passed away on April 12, 2009, at the age of 98;
77 and
88 WHEREAS, Born on October 10, 1910, to Jim and Minnie Lisman,
99 the former Lois Lisman attended Garrett High School and served with
1010 the U.S. Postal Service as assistant postmaster in Palmer; and
1111 WHEREAS, Mrs. Erisman knew the sadness of losing three
1212 husbands, but each of her marriages brought new loved ones into her
1313 life; she was first married to Harris Hughey, and she later wed Dick
1414 Wynne and, finally, Dr. Robert Erisman; Mrs. Erisman had three
1515 children of her own, Ray and Wallace Hughey and Sue Peace, who
1616 preceded her mother in death; in addition, Mr. Wynne's daughter,
1717 Rosemary, became part of the family, as did the children of Dr.
1818 Erisman, Robert, Neita, and Myrna; Mrs. Erisman never considered
1919 any of the children as a "stepchild" and loved each of them with all
2020 of her heart; and
2121 WHEREAS, Possessing a keen mind and a lively personality,
2222 Lois Erisman continued to play a central role in her family until
2323 the time of her passing and was a formidable bridge player even in
2424 her 98th year; she lived a full and generous life, and she will
2525 forever be remembered with great fondness by all those who shared in
2626 her journey; now, therefore, be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2828 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lois Hughey Wynne
2929 Erisman and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
3030 her children, Ray Hughey and his wife, Kay, Wallace Hughey and his
3131 wife, Rosemary, Rosemary Alderdice, Robert Erisman, Jr., Neita
3232 Satterwhite, and Myrna Ranne; to her grandchildren and
3333 great-grandchildren; to her sisters, Delma Farrar and Olene
3434 Lindner; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
3535 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3636 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
3737 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lois
3838 Erisman.
