5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lois Hughey Wynne Erisman, the treasured matriarch |

6 | 6 | | of a loving family, passed away on April 12, 2009, at the age of 98; |
---|
7 | 7 | | and |

8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born on October 10, 1910, to Jim and Minnie Lisman, |
---|
9 | 9 | | the former Lois Lisman attended Garrett High School and served with |
---|
10 | 10 | | the U.S. Postal Service as assistant postmaster in Palmer; and |
---|
11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Erisman knew the sadness of losing three |
---|
12 | 12 | | husbands, but each of her marriages brought new loved ones into her |
---|
13 | 13 | | life; she was first married to Harris Hughey, and she later wed Dick |
---|
14 | 14 | | Wynne and, finally, Dr. Robert Erisman; Mrs. Erisman had three |
---|
15 | 15 | | children of her own, Ray and Wallace Hughey and Sue Peace, who |
---|
16 | 16 | | preceded her mother in death; in addition, Mr. Wynne's daughter, |
---|
17 | 17 | | Rosemary, became part of the family, as did the children of Dr. |
---|
18 | 18 | | Erisman, Robert, Neita, and Myrna; Mrs. Erisman never considered |
---|
19 | 19 | | any of the children as a "stepchild" and loved each of them with all |
---|
20 | 20 | | of her heart; and |
---|
21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Possessing a keen mind and a lively personality, |
---|
22 | 22 | | Lois Erisman continued to play a central role in her family until |
---|
23 | 23 | | the time of her passing and was a formidable bridge player even in |
---|
24 | 24 | | her 98th year; she lived a full and generous life, and she will |
---|
25 | 25 | | forever be remembered with great fondness by all those who shared in |
---|
26 | 26 | | her journey; now, therefore, be it |
---|
27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
---|
28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lois Hughey Wynne |

29 | 29 | | Erisman and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to |

30 | 30 | | her children, Ray Hughey and his wife, Kay, Wallace Hughey and his |

31 | 31 | | wife, Rosemary, Rosemary Alderdice, Robert Erisman, Jr., Neita |

32 | 32 | | Satterwhite, and Myrna Ranne; to her grandchildren and |

33 | 33 | | great-grandchildren; to her sisters, Delma Farrar and Olene |
