H.R. No. 2698 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Lois Hughey Wynne Erisman, the treasured matriarch of a loving family, passed away on April 12, 2009, at the age of 98; and WHEREAS, Born on October 10, 1910, to Jim and Minnie Lisman, the former Lois Lisman attended Garrett High School and served with the U.S. Postal Service as assistant postmaster in Palmer; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Erisman knew the sadness of losing three husbands, but each of her marriages brought new loved ones into her life; she was first married to Harris Hughey, and she later wed Dick Wynne and, finally, Dr. Robert Erisman; Mrs. Erisman had three children of her own, Ray and Wallace Hughey and Sue Peace, who preceded her mother in death; in addition, Mr. Wynne's daughter, Rosemary, became part of the family, as did the children of Dr. Erisman, Robert, Neita, and Myrna; Mrs. Erisman never considered any of the children as a "stepchild" and loved each of them with all of her heart; and WHEREAS, Possessing a keen mind and a lively personality, Lois Erisman continued to play a central role in her family until the time of her passing and was a formidable bridge player even in her 98th year; she lived a full and generous life, and she will forever be remembered with great fondness by all those who shared in her journey; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lois Hughey Wynne Erisman and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her children, Ray Hughey and his wife, Kay, Wallace Hughey and his wife, Rosemary, Rosemary Alderdice, Robert Erisman, Jr., Neita Satterwhite, and Myrna Ranne; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to her sisters, Delma Farrar and Olene Lindner; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lois Erisman.
