55 WHEREAS, Damaris Crystal Rosado has been named a 2009
66 University of Texas at El Paso Top Ten Senior; and
77 WHEREAS, Presented annually by the institution's alumni
88 association, the honor recognizes UTEP's most promising graduating
99 or recently graduated seniors, who are chosen on the basis of
1010 academic achievement, involvement, leadership, and service, both
1111 in the community and on campus; and
1212 WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Ms. Rosado was
1313 recognized for her achievements in her field of study, biology, as
1414 well as for her service with the Medical Professions Organization;
1515 this talented student has been accepted to the Texas A&M Health
1616 Science Center College of Medicine and aspires to work as a
1717 pediatric cardiologist; and
1818 WHEREAS, Damaris Rosado has demonstrated exceptional
1919 initiative and dedication in pursuit of her academic goals, and her
2020 notable record of accomplishment surely heralds a bright future;
2121 now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2323 Legislature hereby congratulate Damaris Crystal Rosado on being
2424 named a Top Ten Senior at The University of Texas at El Paso and
2525 extend to her sincere best wishes on the occasion of her graduation;
2626 and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Ms. Rosado as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2929 House of Representatives.
