H.R. No. 2716
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Damaris Crystal Rosado has been named a 2009
University of Texas at El Paso Top Ten Senior; and
WHEREAS, Presented annually by the institution's alumni
association, the honor recognizes UTEP's most promising graduating
or recently graduated seniors, who are chosen on the basis of
academic achievement, involvement, leadership, and service, both
in the community and on campus; and
WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Ms. Rosado was
recognized for her achievements in her field of study, biology, as
well as for her service with the Medical Professions Organization;
this talented student has been accepted to the Texas A&M Health
Science Center College of Medicine and aspires to work as a
pediatric cardiologist; and
WHEREAS, Damaris Rosado has demonstrated exceptional
initiative and dedication in pursuit of her academic goals, and her
notable record of accomplishment surely heralds a bright future;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Damaris Crystal Rosado on being
named a Top Ten Senior at The University of Texas at El Paso and
extend to her sincere best wishes on the occasion of her graduation;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Rosado as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
