55 WHEREAS, Jennifer Leigh Aranas has been named a 2009
66 University of Texas at El Paso Top Ten Senior; and
77 WHEREAS, Presented annually by the institution's alumni
88 association, the honor recognizes UTEP's most promising graduating
99 or recently graduated seniors, who are chosen on the basis of
1010 academic achievement, involvement, leadership, and service, both
1111 in the community and on campus; and
1212 WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Ms. Aranas was
1313 recognized for her achievements in her field of study, science, and
1414 for her service as president of the UTEP chapter of the Health
1515 Occupations Students of America; this talented student
1616 participated in the institution's Early Medical School Acceptance
1717 Program and plans to attend The University of Texas Medical Branch
1818 in Galveston; and
1919 WHEREAS, Jennifer Aranas has demonstrated exceptional
2020 initiative and dedication in pursuit of her academic goals, and her
2121 notable record of accomplishment surely heralds a bright future;
2222 now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2424 Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer Leigh Aranas on being
2525 named a Top Ten Senior at The University of Texas at El Paso and
2626 extend to her sincere best wishes on the occasion of her graduation;
2727 and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for Ms. Aranas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3030 House of Representatives.
