H.R. No. 2719
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jennifer Leigh Aranas has been named a 2009
University of Texas at El Paso Top Ten Senior; and
WHEREAS, Presented annually by the institution's alumni
association, the honor recognizes UTEP's most promising graduating
or recently graduated seniors, who are chosen on the basis of
academic achievement, involvement, leadership, and service, both
in the community and on campus; and
WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Ms. Aranas was
recognized for her achievements in her field of study, science, and
for her service as president of the UTEP chapter of the Health
Occupations Students of America; this talented student
participated in the institution's Early Medical School Acceptance
Program and plans to attend The University of Texas Medical Branch
in Galveston; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Aranas has demonstrated exceptional
initiative and dedication in pursuit of her academic goals, and her
notable record of accomplishment surely heralds a bright future;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer Leigh Aranas on being
named a Top Ten Senior at The University of Texas at El Paso and
extend to her sincere best wishes on the occasion of her graduation;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Aranas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
